Mayhood, George. F.     Operated a cigar store and pool room on First Ave in Ruby. 1913. Born near Napanee, Ontario around 1858. Joined the rush to the Klondike in 1898. Owned a provisioning business in Dawson. Later opened a general store on Cleary Creek near Fairbanks. Moved to Iditarod. Became one of the first businessmen to join the rush to Ruby. Had children who moved to California. Died in the sinking of the Sophia  in 1918 (Source P 6). 1918 (source P 21).
