Alaska Gold Rush History and Genealogy

The Seward district is the area drained by streams flowing into Resurrection Bay and Blying Sound from Callisto Head on the west to Cape Junken on the east.

Although a few nonproductive gold lodes and several occurrences of copper minerals have been reported, no significant placer deposits have been found in the district.
